Both from Buenos Aires, are specialised in rhythmic styles of tango,
such as tango canyengue and milonga. They are leading
representatives of the recent 'tango roots' movement, popular with
the new generation of Argentinian tangueros who combine the
relaxed attitude of contemporary tango with the close embrace and
intimacy of the original roots styles. .
Roxina and Adrian have performed in the most famous Buenos
Aires tango salons, such as Salon Canning and La Confiteria
Ideal, and both taught for years at the Escuela Argentina de
Tango. Lately, they have been working more outside of Argentina
than at home, but both return regularly to teach every March at the
annual tango roots festival 'CaMiCando' (www.camicando.org),
which brings together tango canyengue, milonga and candombe
lovers from around the world.
